Michael graduated from the University of Queensland in 2020 with a Masters in Physiotherapy. He was the recipient of multiple Dean’s commendations of academic excellence throughout his studies and place in the top three for highest clinical placement grades in his year group. He also has a Bachelor’s of Sport and Exercise Science and three years’ experience teaching Matwork and Reformer Pilates. Michael has a keen interest in sports physiotherapy, specifically dance injury prevention and management after having trained in classical ballet and contemporary dance himself. He also enjoys helping patients with musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation and improving general function and well-being.
In clinic, Michael uses a combination of hands-on treatment, exercise and patient education and always works in collaboration with his patients to achieve their goals. Outside of work, Michael enjoys getting outdoors, living an active lifestyle (weight training, Pilates, running), going to the theatre and catching up with friends and family.
