Keir graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours), achieving First Class Honours and receiving recognition for academic excellence and contribution to research. His academic work focused on sport-related concussion, and he maintains ongoing involvement with a research team actively working in this area.
Keir brings a unique professional background to his physiotherapy practice, having previously served in the Australian Army, including operational deployments overseas, and working for over a decade within emergency services. Through these roles, he developed an in-depth understanding of the physical and psychological demands placed on individuals in high-pressure, physically demanding occupations. During his time in emergency services, he also worked as a physical skills instructor, teaching operational skills and injury risk management.
Clinically, Keir has a strong interest in musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries, concussion management, and performance-based rehabilitation. He is a qualified Clinical Pilates Instructor through the Pilates Institute of Queensland and integrates Pilates principles into rehabilitation and injury prevention programs where appropriate.
Keir has extensive experience working with people across all age groups. He is known for his approachable and conversational style and enjoys building meaningful relationships with clients. He is enthusiastic about helping people achieve their goals — whether that is improving quality of life, returning to work, or optimising athletic performance.
With a lifelong involvement in sport, including competition-level experience in Greco-Roman wrestling, Keir has experience across a range of contact and combat sports. He currently coaches Muay Thai for children and adolescents and has previously coached school-level soccer and cricket.
As a family man with children, he understands the demands of junior sport and active family life. Keir stays active through Muay Thai, mountain biking, structured running training, and strength training. Outside of sport, he enjoys bladesmithing and playing piano as creative and hands-on outlets.
